Our one-adult family package is made for those magical parent-and-kids days where the world slows down and adventure feels easy. You’ll ride a premium e-bike while your children enjoy age-appropriate seats or tag-alongs, fitted safely and ready to roll. It’s simple, flexible, and designed to help you create big memories with your little explorers — all without the stress. Set off from Drysdale Station and enjoy a relaxed, self-guided e-bike ride along the Bellarine Rail Trail all the way to Queenscliff. Together you’ll roll past native bush land, farm gates, and friendly farm animals, stopping for photos with Clydesdale horses, free-range chickens, and the historic heritage stations that dot the route. Upon arrival at Queenscliff Station you can reflect on a ride filled with nature, history, and local charm, explore the historical town and recharge for your ride back with drink on us and an ice cream for the kids. You’ll receive a detailed map with a suggested route, insider tips on must-see spots, toilets and water filling stations, and recommendations for the best coffee, lunch, and shopping stops along the way. Slow down and experience all that The Bellarine has to offer on an effortless e-bike! IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILY RIDERS IS PROVIDED BELOW. BOOKING GUIDELINES Booking your family adventure is simple. First, pop in the details for the adult riders and tell us the ages of your children. From there, BellaRide will recommend the safest and most suitable child accessories for your family; everything from baby seats to tag-alongs. If you’d like extra gear or an additional adult bike, you can easily add those during the booking process. It’s quick, clear, and designed to give you confidence that everything will be ready for the perfect day out.

Bellarine Rail Trail Details

Start / End Point

Start at the Historic Drysdale Rail Station. 

Distance

The full trail runs approximately 17km from Drysdale to Queenscliff (35km return). Most riders take 2–3 hours one way at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to stop for photos, coffee, and sightseeing along the way.

  • ID displaying age and photo of each rider.

  • Phone or camera for those photo stops!

Rider Conditions

This a self-guided experience, there is no guide with you.

 

It is recommended that riders are confident riding on a bicycle before booking an e-bike.  E-bikes are the same as riding a normal bike except with motor assistance when pedalling.

 

Please let us know if this is your first time riding an e-bike so we can ensure you have a good understanding of how they work before your departure. 

Rider Age Policy

We love seeing families explore the Bellarine together! For everyone’s safety and comfort, please take a moment to read our rider guidelines before booking.

 

All E-Bike Riders

  • All e-bike riders must be 15 years or older.

  • Riders should be confident cyclists, able to balance, control and stop safely.

  • Helmets are mandatory and included with every hire.

  • Proof of age may be requested at check-in.

 

 

Children Aged 4–8

Children in this age range are welcome to ride as passengers only.

Choose between:

  •  A tag-along bike attached to an adult’s e-bike, or

  •  An additional child seat (front or rear, depending on size).

  •  Cargo bike with child seat included (up to 8 years). 

  •  Helmets are included for all child passengers.

  •  Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18+)  at all times.

 

 

Children Aged 8–15

 

Children aged 8–15 are not permitted to ride e-bikes, but they can:

 

  •   Hire a standard pedal bike, or

  •   Bring their own bike to join the ride.

  •   They must remain under adult supervision and follow the same trail and road safety rules as other riders.

Safety & Responsibility

 

  • Adult riders are responsible for any accompanying children.

  • Please ensure all equipment fits properly before departure. Our team will help you set up on the day.

  • For safety reasons, Bellaride reserves the right to refuse hire if a child does not meet the minimum age or safety requirements.
