Not at all. Our E-bikes are designed to make cycling easier. Even if you haven’t ridden in a while, the pedal-assist does most of the work so you can relax and enjoy the trail.
Your booking includes the complete BellaRide Explore Experience: a premium e-bike, safety gear, a beautifully simple trail map, and any child accessories you need. We set everything up for you, share local tips, and make sure your day flows effortlessly.
Yes, families can ride together. Adults ride premium e-bikes, and we provide age-appropriate child seats or tag-alongs for your little riders. It’s a smooth, easy way to explore the trail as a family.
There are plenty of safe, scenic places to stop for both adults and kids. Lookout points, benches, shaded rest areas, and cafés at both Drysdale and Queenscliff make it easy to take breaks whenever you need.
At this stage, we offer return rides only. The experience is designed as a relaxed journey to Queenscliff and back, with plenty of time to explore along the way.

Yes. Every BellaRide booking comes with complimentary weather cover, so if the coast decides to put on wild weather, you can easily reschedule your experience for a clearer, more enjoyable day.
No, BellaRide Explore experiences are proudly self-guided. We give you the e-bikes, the local tips, and the freedom to follow your curiosity, without a guide or a set pace.
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety (they protect your feet and make it easier to pedal confidently), water, sunscreen, and your phone for photos and navigation. There are water points along the trail if you need to top up.
Yes, you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your booking at no cost. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a small fee, as we prepare your bikes and routes in advance. Cancellations less than 24 hours are non-refundable. Please check our cancellation policy for all the details.
Our e-bikes have a range of 50–80km per charge, depending on the assist level you use. That’s plenty for a full-day adventure — and we check every bike before each ride to ensure maximum battery life.
Yes — we’re passionate about sustainable tourism. Our e-bikes produce zero emissions, and we partner with local cafés, vineyards, and producers who share our values. We’re all about slow travel and local connection.
Your BellaRide experience begins at the historic Drysdale Station. We welcome you on arrival, get your bikes fitted, and share a few local tips before you set off. There’s lots of free parking, so starting your day is effortless.
In Australia, the recommended minimum age to ride an e-bike is 16 for safety reasons. Younger riders can still join the journey using our child seats or tag-alongs.
Unfortunately our equipment is not safe for children under one. All family packages are offered to children 1 - 15 years of age.
Children under three will be offered the right child seat so they travel comfortably and safely with you.
Children aged 3–8 can’t ride an e-bike independently, but they can still be part of the adventure. We’ll choose the right child seat or tag-along so they travel comfortably and safely with you.
E-bikes in Australia are recommended for riders 16 and over, so children aged 8–15 can’t ride independently. They can still enjoy the journey with you using one of our age-appropriate pedal bikes or safe, comfortable child accessories.
Yes absolutely. The Bellarine Rail Trail is mostly flat, smooth, and beginner-friendly. The majority of the rail trail is off road so you do not need to ride along traffic. Our e-bikes make the ride even easier, so anyone can enjoy the experience at their own pace.
Yes. The trail is separated from traffic, mostly flat, and well-maintained, making it safe for kids travelling in child seats or on tag-alongs. We help ensure your setup is age-appropriate and secure.
Our e-bikes provide gentle pedal assistance up to 25km/h, which is the legal limit in Australia. You control the speed, and the assist only kicks in when you pedal.
We’re only a call away. If you ever need assistance, we offer on-trail support and will come to you to help with anything you need — from a flat tyre to general guidance. We use what3words for a precise location.
Yes. Helmets are included with every booking and must be worn as required by law in Australia.
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own bicycle helmet if you prefer. We’ll help check the fit before you ride.
Yes. Our e-bikes are designed for riders up to 120kg. For safety and performance, we recommend staying within this limit.
At this stage, BellaRide experiences are for riders using our fleet only. This ensures safety, consistency, and a smooth experience for all riders.
For safety reasons, we don’t allow pets on the bikes or accessories. The trail is dog-friendly for walkers, but not suitable for pet transport on our equipment.
Yes — the trail is known for being flat, smooth, and easy to ride, which is why it’s so popular with beginners, families, and casual riders.
The trail is a mix of compacted granite and sealed sections. It’s comfortable, stable, and perfect for e-bikes and families.
